The Expendables 2 set to hit screens in India on 24th August 2012!

Multivision Multimedia, the biggest independent distribution house in the Indian subcontinent is going to release the high voltage action film ‘THE EXPENDABLES 2’ in India this August. The film which will be shown across more than 800 screens will see a pan-India release on 24^th August 2012. ‘THE EXPENDABLES 2’ is the highly anticipated sequel to the summer 2010 worldwide box-office success ($274 million worldwide).

Simon West replaces Stallone in donning the director’s hat this time around. Earlier, he has proved his mettle with high octane action projects like ‘Con-Air’, ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ and ‘The Mechanic’. Besides Simon, another big addition to the franchise is Jean Claude Van Damme who will be playing the role of the main villain as a terrorist with nefarious plans for the expendables.

THE EXPENDEBLES 2 is a re-union of the old-school mercenaries, where the team is compelled to seek revenge when one of their brothers is viciously killed. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time. THE EXPENDABLES 2 was shot in Bulgaria during late 2011 and completed principal photography in Hong Kong and New Orleans in early 2012.

The film stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
