Introducing... Team PBN

He is a well known name in the UK Asian music scene, his songs have topped charts, ruled dance floors and made their way in to the hearts and minds of Bhangra fans across the world. Over the last decade PBN has gone from strength to strength, honed his skills, developed his sound and established himself as a leading music artist and now he is turning his attention to nurturing emerging UK talent.

TeamPBN is a collective of three fresh new voices and the renowned artist PBN. Each with their own unique style and sound, they have come together to take the music scene by storm and make their mark on the global Urban Desi scene.

Headed by PBN - "Having enjoyed a successful eight years or so in the Asian music industry I have worked with the A’ list of the Bhangra industry and have been fortunate enough to have collaborated with every major artist that I grew up listening to. TeamPBN is a new and exciting journey for me; it's the next logical and creative progression of my career. I aim to put my heart and soul into developing these new British born Asian acts and taking them from the studio to the stage. TeamPBN is 4 acts, 1 stage. Each act has their own style and influences, ranging from R&B to raw folk. We are not here to represent a particular sound or style, we are here to represent a true reflection of today's Brit-Asian culture."

Joining TeamPBN we have singer-songwriter Sanj, who recently featured on PBN’s album ‘Me, Myself & Music’ and co-wrote a number of tracks including the monster hit ‘Fitteh Moo’. With vocal training with Shin DCS and Professor Amarjit Singh Sadhpuri of Amritsar and having sung backing vocals for artists like Hans Raj Hans and Malkit Singh, Sanj performs with authenticity and control of Panjabi language and style.

Then there is newcomer Raj Bains with a huge voice and powerful vocals that command attention. Raj is flying the flag for folk music, with a sound that is reminiscent of yester year voices. In touch with his roots, culture and identity he will breathe new life into traditional music and will be a voice for the revival of old school desi.

Making up the final piece of TeamPBN is multi-talented female artist Bambi. Singer, musician, model and dancer; Bambi embraces all forms of performance art. She will be bringing style and glamour to the urban desi scene with her pop and R&B vocals that she recently showcased in a performance to recording artist and ‘The Voice’ coach - Jessie J.

PBN has been working hard with the Sanj, Raj and Bambi over the last year, developing their voices, music and image, as well as launching a new independent label Playback Records on which TeamPBN is the first signing. Bringing together their talent and PBN’s experience, there will be no stopping this new collective who are geared to take over the music scene.

TeamPBN will be showcasing their talents over the next few months with solo and collective releases. You can catch them all at events and shows across the UK this summer. The first single to be released from TeamPBN will be ‘Nachna Pawu’ with Sanj out 21^st June.
