Former couple in love Ranbir and Deepika seemed to have moved on and have decided to remain just friends!

Going by the recent comment of Ranbir Kapoor in which he said, ”When we come on a movie, we come individually as actors because we have liked our parts individually and that’s pretty much it,” referring to himself and Deepika.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are gearing up for their new movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which has already a buzz with it’s music among the fans. But there’s more to them than just their reel space.

Rumour has it that Deepika Padukone has decided to avoid the promotion of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in London as Katrina Kaif will be present in the city along with her family! Since Katrina is rumoured to be dating Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika is in no mood to have a face-off with Katrina. Hence, the decision to cancel her trip to the British capital.

However, Katrina Kaif might not be the only reason for her not visiting London. The dimpled and dusky beauty also needs to complete her shoot for the film ‘Chennai Express’, which stars Shahrukh Khan.

Deepika’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ is slated to release 31 May, while ‘Chennai Express’ is scheduled to release this Eid which falls on August 8.

“She has paid advance tax of a whopping Rs. 4.5 crore this year. Last fiscal year, she had two blockbusters— Ek Tha Tiger (2012) with Salman and late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shah Rukh Khan. Both of them are in the 100 Crore Club. So there is no surprise that she has reigned this year.” said a source closse to the actress.

Coming second to Katrina is  none other than Kareeena Kapoor, she paid around 4 Crore rupees towards tax. Paying advance tax has become a recent trend. It has become to measure a star’s status. But we can’t help but notice the difference between the male and female actors.While Amitabh Bachchcan paid around 25 Crore, while Katrina just paid 4.5 Crores, which is less than a quarter.

When contacted, Katrina confirmed the news, “Paying regular taxes is the right thing to do. It just enables the smooth functioning of the state and (once the taxes are done) actors like us can continue with our job of entertaining our fans,” says the actor.

Katrina Kaif has been approached to play a double role as the twin protagonists in the remake of the ’70s hit Seeta Aur Geeta.

Apparenty the actress is fond of the original movie which featured Hema Malini.  

Ramesh Sippy, who directed the original film, will also helm the project according to rumours . However his son-director Rohan Sippy denied the news. “Dad is not directing the movie,” he said.

Industry insiders reveal that the makers are so happy with Katrina Kaif’s interest in the project that they have given her a free hand at selecting the team she wants to work with. Another source says, “The rights are not with Sippy as there is a dispute between the Sippy brothers regarding it. Ramesh could be directing it but only after he wins the rights.”

We hear that Katrina Kaif and Sippy’s banner are now busy churning out details of the project. Both the actress and the senior Ramesh were unavailable for comment.
