Ranbir Kapoor says that he would love to be godfather to his former girlfriend and “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” co-star Deepika Padukone’s kids in future.

“Godfather means someone who you really are fond of. You want the kids to kind of look up to you and, kind of, mentor the kids,” Ranbir said at an event held to promote ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”.

The two not only enjoy each other’s company but also look quite comfortable with each other after parting ways.

“I don’t know whether I will have my own kids or not but she (Deepika Padukone) will definitely have. So I would love to be her children’s godfather, but I don’t know whether she or her husband will allow me but it will be nice to mentor her children,” Ranbir said

It’ is after five years that Ranbir and Deepika will be seen together on screen. They last featured together in “Bachna Ae Haseeno”.

Former couple in love Ranbir and Deepika seemed to have moved on and have decided to remain just friends!

Going by the recent comment of Ranbir Kapoor in which he said, ”When we come on a movie, we come individually as actors because we have liked our parts individually and that’s pretty much it,” referring to himself and Deepika.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are gearing up for their new movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which has already a buzz with it’s music among the fans. But there’s more to them than just their reel space.

Rumour has it that Deepika Padukone has decided to avoid the promotion of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in London as Katrina Kaif will be present in the city along with her family! Since Katrina is rumoured to be dating Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika is in no mood to have a face-off with Katrina. Hence, the decision to cancel her trip to the British capital.

However, Katrina Kaif might not be the only reason for her not visiting London. The dimpled and dusky beauty also needs to complete her shoot for the film ‘Chennai Express’, which stars Shahrukh Khan.

Deepika’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ is slated to release 31 May, while ‘Chennai Express’ is scheduled to release this Eid which falls on August 8.

Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma along with Boman Irani are going to host the most anxiously anticipated upcoming Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA). The event will be hosted on 6th of April, at BC Place, Vancouver BC.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma hosting the show the other highlight is that other B-town biggies like Shahrukh Khan,Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra are gearing up to perform on stage. And rumour has it that Bachchan junior and his lovely wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will share the stage and do some hot numbers. Well it certainly will be very interesting to see Aishwarya and Abhishek dance together after the very hot Kajra re performance at IIFA.

Looks like the organisers plan on making the Award show a big hit and have left no stone un turned. The Awards promise to be a night of entertainment and glamour like Vancouver has never seen before with mind-blowing performances and Bollywood’s biggest celebrities and the people of Vancouver will certainly remember the first Times Of India Film Awards (TOIFA 2013) for years to come.
