Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) successfully conducted written examination for filling up Upper Division Clerk, Stenographer and Multi-Tasking Staff posts on 18th February 2016. A huge number of candidates appeared for the examination across various exam centers. All the candidates who had written the exam are searching for the review & analysis. ESIC Overall Analysis/ Cutoff Marks 2016:
The examination is has four sections i.e; Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English and General Knowledge. A total of 200 questions were asked in the examination. The overall exam was easy to moderate. All the sections were easy and English section is bit difficult. Candidates can attempt 150-160 questions.
ESIC Cutoff Marks 2016:
ESIC UDC Steno Clerk MTS written examination cutoff marks depend on the total number of candidates appeared for the exam, difficulty of the paper. Candidates must get the sectional wise cutoff to qualify for the written exam. Also, cut off marks vary category wise. Here we will update the cutoff marks.
ESIC Cutoff Marks For UDC:
Candidates who had written the exam can check category wise cutoff marks here for both written exam and computer skill test.
For Written Exam:
- For UR Category: 40% ( 80 out of 200)
- For SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 35% (70 Out of 200)
Computer Skill Test:
For both UR and reserved categories, aspirants must get 17 marks out of 50
ESIC Sectional Wise Review:
Quantitative Aptitude:
This section was very easy. The questions were covered mostly from the topics like Simple Interset, Time and Work, Ratio and Proportion, Unit Digit Calculation, D.I.(Tabular) and arthematic topics.
Reasoning:
This Section is also easy. The questions are covered from Analogy, Classification, Blood Relation, Syllogism, Non Verbal Reasoning etc. The most of the questions are similar to the SSC questions. Candidates who had prepared for the SSC exam can answer most of the questions.
General Knowledge:
In this section, the questions were from History, Geography, Polity, Science, Sports, Static and Current Affairs. The number of questions from current affairs was easy and only 3 to 4 questions were asked. This section is also easy as per the students point of view.
English:
The English language section is bit difficult. The questions were from Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Close Test, Rearrangement, Fillers and Idioms and Phases.
