The 88th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood were among the most hotly discussed in recent history. The Revenant bagged the shortlist with 12 nominations and it was for his role in that film that bagged Leonardo DiCaprio his first Oscar in his career.
Brie Larson was named best actress Oscar for Room and Spotlight. Mad Max: Fury Road picked up the most awards of the night, with six awards.
