Veteran Director, Producer, artist, and film maker Dasari Narayana Rao has died today evening at KIMS hospital due to failure of organs. Recently he admitted in KIMS hospital Hyderabad and has undergone the treatment for Kidney failure in the month of February; while the death rumors has spread widely in February itself. Later after the concentrated treatment he recovered well and discharged from hospital safely. After his recovery he also celebrated his 75th birthday occassion grandly on 4th May.
Now, after surviving for 3 months again he has faced the critical condition and he immediately moved to the hospital on 17th May. And he has undergone one more surgery on 18th May. After the surgery his position became more critical, the failure of organs was caused after the surgery. Since from past 5 months he has undergone 2 major surgeries while today morning his blood pressure raised suddenly and it has not come to control. Doctors tried their best to bring into normal state. But they have done nothing as his situation is going further critical. After a severe rescue operation from the KIMS doctors, Dasari is unresponsive to the treatment and he left his soul today evening at hospital. The arrangements were being made to move his dead body to his home at Jubilee hills to perform his last rituals.

He is one of the big personalities of Tollywood Industry. He directed 250 films in his career while few of the films in Bollywood as well. He produced about 53 films in Telugu. Dasari is the iconic person of the industry that he has proven his identity many times. He got many prestigious awards, nine state Nandi Awards, two National Film Awards, and four Filmfare Awards South.
Dasari got the special jury award /special mention for the movie kante kuturne kanu (1998) and national award for best feature film in Telugu for Meghasandesam (1982). He got Nandi awards for Mamagaru, Mestri, Kante Kuturne Kanu, Bangaru kutunbham, meghasandesam, premabhishekam and other films. And also he got many special awards for his unbeatable works. Dasari is the best at his work. He has given many best movies in his entire career and established his own way of film making in the Tollywood. The audience of Telugu industry still reminding his memorable films.
Apart from film career he is also strong at political side. He also worked as ministry of coal and have undergone several responsibilities.
