Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted Combined Defence Services (CDS)- 1 examination in the month of February 2015. A large number of candidates applied and appeared for the examination and the results at various examination centers and the written exam results were also declared. Candidates who had qualified in the written exam appeared for the interview. Aspirants who had appeared for the interview for admission to the Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai for 103rd Short Service Commission Course (for Men); and 17th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course, commencing in April, 2016 was released. Candidates can also check the list of 103rd Short Service Commission Course (for Men) who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying ) Training Course(s).

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India’s central agency authorised to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Indian Forest Service examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination, Combined Medical Services Examination, Special Class Railway Apprentice, Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, Combined Geoscientist and Geologist Examination, and Central Armed Police Forces(Assistant Commandant) Examination.
