Actor Akshay Kumar says he is quick to star in a women centric film with his “Air-lift” co-star Nimrat Kaur.
Female-driven movies in Bollywood as a rule have top actress while the male lead is played by newcomers or moderately lesser known faces.
Akshay Kumar to produce a woman-centric film for Nimrat Kaur
“I just remembered that there is one script, I needed to make it, its a women (related) thing. I was simply taking a gander at her (Nimrat) and I thought I need to get some information about this,” Akshay said in a meeting.
The “Baby” actor feels everything comes down to the content and is not about male or female-centric roles.
“I did a film called Aitraaz, it was a film which had a place with Kareena and Priyanka. A film must be a hit, must be welcomed, it doesnt matter how much is my role.” Nimrat feels there is no “pre-convinced” thought among male actorto not be a part of women oriented movies.
“At the point when its women driven, If that you need a superstar for commercial reasons, they will join in. Similarly, if in a male-driven film you require the vicinity of a female superstar that also happens.” “I dont think people have a pre-considered idea that if its a women centric film, then we won’t do it,” she said.
