Bollywood’s romantic drama film “Fitoor” has hit the theaters today on 12th February. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapoor, the film features Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur & Tabu in lead roles. The story is inspired from the popular novel named Great Expectations that was written by Charles Dickens. It is the love story of an orphan who falls for a wealthy, heartless girl.
The film Fitoor – which means, Passion/Obsession, also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Rahul Bhat, Akshay Oberoi, Lara Dutta, Suchitra Pillai, Andy Von Eich and Delbar Arya in supporting roles. Fitoor Hindi Movie Story Line:
Fitoor is a Bollywood adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel ‘Great Expectations.’ This story follows a young Kashmiri boy, Noor (played by Aditya Roy Kapur which is based on the character of Pip), his muse Firdaus (played by Katrina Kaif which is based on the character of Estella), and a mercurial Begum (played by Tabu which is based on the character of Miss Havisham), through love lost and realized over the course of two generations. Thirteen-year-old Noor, an impressionable boy, is lured into the world of the Begum – the wealthiest woman in town.
Young Noor falls in love with the Begum’s daughter, Firdaus. Suffering from a broken heart herself, the Begum finds her mark in Noor. Noor obsesses over Firdaus, someone who belongs to a world completely different from his.
Seasons change and Noor leaves his hometown to move to Delhi to build his career. He strives to be accepted into the sophisticated social circles that Firdaus is a part of, while the Begum plots retribution on their young and innocent love.
