The AICTE Official has stated that the National Eligibility Test (NET) will be introduced from the next year 2019 – 20. AICTE Chairman told to reports that, the AICTE had confirmed conducting the NET examination from next year for admissions to all engineering colleges from this year. The official has also clarified that AICTE has also discussed with the State Governments regarding the NET examination. By qualifying this examination, toppers from each state will get admission into IITs.
Once the state government affirmed this choice the test would wind up operational, in any event by 2019-20.
