Well known badminton player PV Sidhu has today appointed for the prestigious position of Deputy Collector in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has given the appointment letter as Deputy collector. Badminton player PV Sindhu has reported at Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) Office at Vijayawada. She has taken the appointment letter as AP Deputy collector in presence of her parents.

21-year-old badminton player PV Sindhu has recently won the Silver Medal for India in 2016 Olympics. PV Sindhu is working as Assistant Manager (Sports) for Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) since 2013 at Hyderabad.
She has expressed her happiness to receive the designation as Deputy Collector. Sindhu has given the appointment letter for Deputy Collector (Category 2) Post and she has to report for the duty within 30 days of the appointment.
“She will be under probation for a three-year period and undergoing service training,” Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) Manmohan Singh said in the order.
PV Sindhu has assured that she will win more medals for the state by striving hard. As a Group 1 Officer PV Sindhu has to keep her efforts for the development of sports in the state. She has received a reward of Rs 5 Cr and a receiving plot in Hyderabad. PV Sindhu has accepted the job in Andhra Pradesh because she wishes to contribute to the state of her parents.
