The University of Delhi offers various Under Graduate and Post-Graduate Degree courses for students annually. Regarding these courses, the Delhi University has accepted applications 22^nd May to 12^th June. More than 3 lakh candidates have applied seeking admission into Delhi University. The University has received a massive number of applications this year.

Nearly, 71247 for BA (Hons) Psychology, 99372 for BA (Hons) Political Science, 71626 BA (Hons) Sociology, 94476 for BA (Hons) Economics, 140619 hopefuls have applied for BA Programme, 128842 for BA (Hons) English),79087 for BA (Hons) Journalism, 88562 for BA (Hons) History, 70267 for BA (Hons) Geography, and 70127 BA (Hons) Hindi.

The Delhi University offers admission on the basis of merit of students in their past qualification. The DU generates the cutoff list as per merit of the applicants. Already the DU has released the 1^st and 2^nd Cutoff lists. Now, the DU is going to release the 3^rd Cutoff list. The University second cutoff list, various courses had registered a dip of 3% which is expected to dip further with the publication of DU 3rd cut off 2017. Few of the student’s disappointment was caused by various colleges closed their admissions.

DU UG 3^rd Cutoff 2017 List – Details

Available Courses and Colleges in DU

Dyal Singh College, Daulat Ram College, and Hindu College have already closed the admissions for BA (Hons.) Political Science course and also BA (Programme) course. Shri Ram College of Commerce has also closed the admissions for BA (Hons.) Economics course. The cut-off by 0.25% to 97.5% for admission to B.Com (Hons.). Even, the SGTB Khalsa College, which set the cut-off for B.Sc (Hons) Electronics at 99.66% in the first list, slashed it to 96% in the second list. The lowest cut-off of 44.75 percent for BA (Hons) Sanskrit has been announced by Lakshmibai College.

Lady Shri Ram College has also closed its admissions for BA (Hons.) Hindi, History, Philosophy, Economics, Sociology, Sanskrit, BA (Programme) and B.Com (Hons). The highest cut-off in the second list was for BA (Hons) Psychology at 98.25% at LSR, which saw a drop of 0.25% from the first cut-off list. Hindu College has also closed its admissions for 10 courses out of its 18 courses. Lady Shri Ram College recorded 545 admissions against the total 783 seats.

Admissions are open for Kirori Mal, Miranda House, Ramjas and Hans Raj Colleges. At Sri Venkateswara College, only 298 admissions have been approved against the total 1,058 seats. The college has not had any admission in BCom (Hons) and Economics.

4^th cutoff list on 13^th July and finally the degree 5^th cutoff will be released on 18^th July. Candidates who did not get shortlisted in 3^rd round cutoff list can wait for the next rounds.
