AP Police Merit List for the Post of SI Communications & ASIs (Finger Print Bureau): Recruitment to the posts of SCT Sub Inspector of Police (Communications)-15 posts & Asst.Sub Inspector of Police (finger Print Bureau)-13 posts, for Men & Women in the Police Department were notified vide Notification Rc.No.244/R&T/ Rect.1/2016, dt:24-089-2016. The Final Written Examination was held on 19-11-2016 & 20-11-2016 in various locations at Guntur district. The results of the said Final Written Examination were declared on 2-12-2016. The candidates were given chance to submit request for verification. A total of 325 candidates applied for verification. The result of verification has been communicated to the candidates through SMS and e-mail.

Finally, 543 candidates have qualified for the post of SI(Communications) and 467 candidates have qualified for the post of Asst Sub Inspector of Police(Finger Print Bureau).
The Merit list for the post of SI(Communications) & Asst.Sub Inspector of Police (Finger Print Bureau) is uploaded in the web site and candidate may download the same.
As informed through Notification, the Merit List for the post of SI(Communications) is prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate in Papers-II & III, held on 19-11-2016 Afternoon Session and 20-11-2016 Forenoon session. Similarly, the Merit list for the post of Asst .Sub Inspector of Police (Finger Print Bureau) is prepared based on the marks obtained by candidates in Paper-II & Paper-IV i.e., 19-11-2016 afternoon session and 20-11-2016 afternoon session. Paper-I i.e., English which was descriptive in nature was only qualifying and marks obtained in Paper-I is not included in the final Merit list. This Merit List includes marks obtained, Date of Birth, Community, ex-servicemen status, gender, Hall Ticket number & Registration Number. In case of any discrepancy of data in these fields, candidates are requested to inform through e-mail (recruitment.appolice.gov.in) immediately.
A number of enquiries are being made regarding evaluation of English (descriptive paper). As per the procedure followed by SLPRB,AP, any descriptive paper is evaluated by two independent examiners.
- (a) In double valuation, if the marks awarded show a deviation of less than 10% of the maximum marks for that paper, the average of two (2) valuations shall be taken as the FINAL marks awarded for that particular manuscript.
- (b) In double valuation, if the marks awarded show a deviation of more than or equal to 10% of the maximum marks for that paper, such manuscripts shall be subjected to a 3rd valuation.
- (c) Of the first two valuation marks, the marks closest to 3rd valuation will be reckoned as the appropriate among the first two. The average of the 3rd valuation marks and the closest marks of the first two valuations shall be the final marks awarded for that particular manuscript.
Selection list will be prepared based on the Marks List and the reservation quota for various social communities and also reservation for women and Children of Police Personnel(CPP) as mentioned in A.P. Police (SCT) Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.315, Home(Pol.C) Dept.,dt:13-10-1999 and its amendments thereon. After the declaration of the selections, candidates selected will be called for Medical test. Antecedents’ verification will be taken up. Training of selected candidates is likely to start from 16-1-2017.
