TNPSC Group 1 Results & Expected Cutoff Marks 2017

The TNPSC board is going to declare the Group 1 results within 3 – 4 weeks after the examination date. All the competitors can keep checking the official website of TNPSC to know the exact date of result announcement. Candidates those who have qualified in the TNPSC Group 1 examination will he sent to interview round. And candidates successful in interview round will be getting a chance to own the job as Group 1 in the state of Tamil Nadu. Candidates who will qualify the prelims based on the cut-off set by TNPSC will proceed to mains examination and interview process. The cut-off has not been set yet.

PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:- The selection will be made in three successive stages, viz (i) Preliminary Examination for selection of applicants for admission to the Main Written Examination (ii) Main Written Examination and (iii) an Oral Test in the form of an Interview.

The Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the applicants who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Written Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. The number of applicants to be admitted to the Main Written Examination will be 50 times the number of applicants to be recruited having regard to the rule of reservation of appointments. However, in each reservation group, all the applicants who secure the same marks as that of cut off marks of their reservation groups shall also be admitted to the Main Written Examination, though the number of applicants to be admitted to the Main Written Examination may exceed 1:50 ratio.
