This is to inform that all the candidates those who appeared for the Sub Inspector Exam 2017 which is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board (APSLPRB), the board is released the results by means of the official website of the department. Recruitment to the posts of SCT Sub Inspector of Police(Civil) (Men & Women)- 355 Posts, Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (AR) (Men & Women)- 113 Posts, Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (SAR CPL) (Men)- 09 Posts, Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (APSP) (Men)- 209 Posts in Police Department and Deputy Jailor ( Men)- 16 Posts & Assistant Matron (Women)- 05 Posts in Prisons & Correctional Services Department was notified vide Notification Rc.No.208/R&T/Rect.1/2016, dt: 17-09-2016.

The Final Written Test was held on 18.02.2017 & 19.02.2017 at 4 locations. After Marks were made available to candidates on website on 06-03-2017, candidates were given opportunity to Appeal and request for Verification upto 15-03-2017. All the appeals were examined and replies were sent to candidates regarding Result of Appeal. After Verification, the number of candidates Qualified for various posts is:-

• SI(Civil)(Men & Women)/Dy.Jailor/Asst.Matron: 17,366
• RSI(AR)(Men & Women)/RSI(APSP/SAR CPL)(Men): 13,645
• Both the Merit Lists were uploaded on the Website on 23-03-2017.

Selection Lists for all the 6 posts have prepared as per Rules of Reservation and Vacancies notified. NCC-C candidates were sufficient in number and therefore candidates with NCC-A&B candidates were not considered. Only One candidate who is having MSP-Category-I, was considered among the list of Qualified candidates. Further, MSP-Category-2 were considered as per the Merit and candidates who are having MSP-Category-3 were not considered.

For the posts of SI (Civil) and RSI (AR), it has been further subdivided into (4) Zones – Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Guntur and Kurnool.

The Final Selection is based on Marks obtained in Paper-III (200 Marks) and Paper-IV(200 Marks), total-400 Marks for the post of Sub Inspector of Police(Civil) (Men & Women), Deputy Jailor ( Men) & Assistant Matron (Women). For the post of Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (AR) (Men & Women), Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (SAR CPL) (Men), Reserve Sub Inspector of Police (APSP) (Men), this was reduced to 50%, i.e., 200 Marks and added to Physical Efficiency Test(PET) Marks i.e., 100 Marks, thereby making total 300 Marks. The Rule of local Reservation for the post of SI (Civil)(Men & Women) and RSI(Armed Reserve)(Men & Women) was followed. The post preference and Unit preference submitted by candidates were considered while preparing Provisional Selection List. The Provisional Selection List of the selected candidates has been uploaded on the website www.recruitment.appolice.gov.in and the cut-off marks for the above posts under various categories are also available for the benefit of candidates.
