Indian Pacer Mohammad Shami ruled out of Asia Cup

“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the substitution, who will join the group tomorrow,” he included. Shami supported the injury during the training seseion before the warm-up Twenty20 game against Western Australia, which the Indians won on Friday.

The most recent breakdown is a massive set back for Shami, who had come back to the side in the wake of being sidelined for nine months owing to injuries.

It can be considered as a big chance for Bhuvneshwar, who was dropped taking after a poor home series against South Africa a year ago. The 25-year-old had asserted his seven wickets from five matches at a normal of 49.57 and an economy rate of 7.13. India will play five ODIs and three Twenty20s against the Steve Smith-led Australia.
