Speculations are high that the venue for the Asia title session could be the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. In any case, it will be initially inspected by WBO officials on February 22.

“It’s the next level for him. He will battle for the WBO Asia title in June and a team of WBO authorities will recce for venues in Delhi. The first venue to be looked voluntarily be the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium,” Vijender’s India promoters, IOS Boxing Promotions’ MD Neerav Tomar said. Amid their time here, the WBO officials will also investigate roads for professional boxing India at the grass root level.

“The WBO officials will conduct a class for the Indian Boxing Council (IBC) on Sunday. There will be exchanges on the best way to take professional boxing to the grassroot levels,” Tomar included.
The middleweight boxer, who earned international fame by turning into India’s first Olympic and World Championships medallist at the beginner level, has shown rampaging shape even in the professional coliseum.
Since his debut in the circuit last October, the 30-year-old from Haryana has won all his three pro contestants by knockouts. His next session is planned for March 12 in Liverpool, the rival for which is yet to be named.
