Sixty-one people on getting onto a flight from Dubai were killed when a there plane crashed and burst into flares as it was arriving in Rostov-on-Don, in Southern Russia, on Saturday morning, a local official said.

“A Boeing 737 crashed as it was coming into the area. There were 61people on board. They are all dead,” said a representative from the local service, cited by the authority TASS news office.
There were 55 travelers and six group individuals on the plane, the authority included. The accident happened at 0050 GMT, as per an official explanation from the crises service.

“The Boeing 737 on the Dubai to Rostov-on-Don course discovered flame (after slamming),” said the announcement, including that it took an hour to bring the flame under control.
The plane hit the ground a couple of hundred meters (yards) from the runaway as it was making its second endeavor arrive in poor permeability, Russian news channel LifeNews reported. It was raining hard and a solid wind cautioning had been issued by the neighborhood crises service, TASS said. Emirates-based Flydubai said it knew about an “occurrence” including one of it’s planes, yet did not give any further points of interest.

“We are aware of an incident involving our flight FZ981 from Dubai to Rostov-on-Don. We are investigating further details and will publish an update once more information is available,” the airline said in a post on it’s Facebook page.
State news organization Tass reported that the Investigative Committee, the country’s top investigative office, said preparatory data shows the plane was landing when it hit the ground and broke into pieces at the airplane terminal around 950 kilometers (600 miles) south of Moscow.
There was no quick data on the cause, albeit a few news reports proposed climate could have been a component. There was rain and winds of around 11 meter for every second (25 mph) at the season of the accident.
