Samsung is reportedly planning to integrate Apple-such as Live Photos highlight into its up coming Galaxy S7 cell phone, a Samsung programming engineer revealed. The new feature will be known as Vivid Photo or Timeless Photo.

The news of incorporating a Live Photos-like feature into Galaxy S7 comes from an inside source who told Android Geeks that Samsung is indeed testing the feature and may not be available immediately at launch .

Samsung Galaxy S7 release just around the corner, with bits of gossip suggesting that it might arrive before the actual announced date as 21 February. A recent report reveal that Samsung will release the new leader in three variants – Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge+ – with various sizes. Regarding valuing, another report out of Korea claims the flagships will be accessible “at a cheaper cost”, by Korea Times.

Other rumored feature of the Galaxy S7 series incorporate a water-resistance build, microSD card slot, and pressure sensitive display.
