Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has introduced the Online Record verification service to detect the academic fraud. The TSCHE has introduced the online record verification service on Tuesday, 18th April 2017. The service is specially intended to trace the duplicate certificates.
TSCHE launched Online student verification service in Telangana
Prof T Papi Reddy, TSCHE chairman has launched the online student verification service intentionally to launch this to fight the academic fraud. As per this, the certificate verification for students passed out in the last five years.
“By making available the records of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional degree programmes’ students, recruitment agencies can now verify any student’s academic record before finalising his/her admission or job. If anyone comes across a document like a memorandum of marks that looks suspicious, it can be immediately verified,” he said. “Proposals are under consideration for including data for previous five more years and other universities,” Reddy added.
Commissioner of police M Mahender Reddy has also present at the Online student verification service launch program. He expressed his opinion to upload the Aadhar Card details and photographs of students from the next year onwards. So, that the online certificate verification will become more accurate.
The Online Certificate verification program was launched in 6 universities at present — Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University – Hyderabad, Kakatiya University – Warangal, Osmania University, Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University – Hyderabad, Satavahana University – Karimnagar, and Palamuru University- Mahbubnagar.
