History apart, International Search Engine Giant Google on Tuesday denoted the International Women’s Day with one of its special doodles featuring real women instead of animated characters.

“International Women’s Day is a festival of the women who arrive today working towards a better future, and in that sense it was essential for me to ensure that we praise the real women,” she said.

Google doodle celebrates stethoscope inventor Rene Laennec’s 235th birthday

Late in 1816, Laennec was examining a women patient complaining of heart issues and needed to hear heart beat. He felt uncomfortable to place his ear on her chest because she was overweight. Also, this cumbersomeness helped Laennec’s to remember the time when he watched two youngsters playing with a long stick- – one scratched it with a pin while the other listened happily to the opened up sound on the other side.
